The base color is a vibrant brick red, a traditional Japanese glaze color, with cream-colored stripes of nukayu, a glaze made from rice husk ash painted radially. The thin, delicate gold trim on the rims adds a touch of elegance, creating a subtle sense of tension within its simplicity. It is designed to be completed when incense is placed on it.

Shun Yoshino

He studied under Fujiya Sakuma 4th generation of Sakuma Totaro Kiln, Mashiko pottery for 8 years. After that, he returned to his hometown Hiroshima and started his own pottery business in Innoshima, Onomichi City.
In 2022, after 10 years of independence, he moved his atelier (studio) to Hiroshima City.
He creates ceramics that are close to people's daily lives.
In May 2023, his plates were used at the working dinner on the first day of the G7 Hiroshima Summit held in Hiroshima City.
