It is said that the rainy season has set in in Maebashi, but it seems as if it has already passed through the rainy season and is now hot like midsummer. I wore a short-sleeved T-shirt today and yesterday. During my jog this morning, the sunflowers were already in bloom, and I was thinking, "I wonder if this year will turn into summer luckily without rainy season."

The original incense "kuyuru" for LOFT, which has been in the works since last year, went on sale at LOFT stores nationwide this spring.

The concept of the scent is "a fusion of fragrant wood with flowers and fruits to create an unprecedented scent" which has been on my mind since last year. Is it new or nostalgic, stylish or unsophisticated... I can't know the impression of the scent until I make it. However, after making several prototypes, the overall picture came into view. It has depth, but also a light and fluffy scent that is difficult to grasp, which is exactly the scent of today. It finally clicked and I immediately proposed it and it was commercialized.

The packaging and naming, which evoke the image of incense being smoked, were suggested and the process of refining them was a very enjoyable and educational experience. No matter how many decades I have been making products, there are always new discoveries and difficulties to create, but when I finally reach my goal, it's really happy.

I want to give it my all and continue to create works that I think are wonderful, and make customers say "Oh, this is cute" and happy...
